Sydney Opera House - Structural Model

A$295.00
sold out

A model exploring the structural elements of the main shell of the Concert Hall. This model shows the concrete ribs that were constructed to enclose the main spaces and are now clad in over 1 million tiles. These ribs were made onsite in a mould and then craned into position.

This model varies from the Sydney Opera House collection as it is in a deeper frame to allow for a fully scale representation of the depth of the curvature of the shells.

This model is available showing either an interior or exterior view of the shells; please select from the options below.

The sculpture is made from eco-friendly resin-plaster. All materials are sourced locally, made 100% in Sydney. Each model is framed using sustainably-sourced Australian Victorian Ash.
Size: 22x32x8cm frame
Total Weight: Approximately 2.5kg
Each model is hand-cast with its own small deviations in colour and texture and small air imperfections within the casting.
